Brad Starkweather

Co-Founder & CEO

Brad is a former senior healthcare executive and private equity professional.  He was previously the Chief Development Officer of Elite Dental Partners LLC, a Chicago-based Dental Support Organization with over 110 affiliated general dentistry practices in 12 Midwest states.  While with Elite he led a Development team responsible for tripling the Company’s revenue and operating profit via over 70 individual practice acquisitions in under three years.  He also oversaw several operating initiatives related to revenue cycle administration, payor relations and practice-level growth strategies, and led the sale of the company to a prominent healthcare-focused private equity firm.

 

Prior to Elite he spent over 13 years in the private equity industry where he was involved with nearly $500mm of transactions and served on the Board of Directors of numerous portfolio companies.  Most recently he was with Grey Mountain Partners, a generalist firm focused on middle-market leveraged buyouts with over $760mm under management.  Prior to Grey Mountain he was with U.S. Renewables Group, a growth equity firm in the alternative energy space with nearly $750mm under management, and Centre Partners, a traditional private equity firm specializing in the consumer, healthcare and business services sectors with over $1.5bn under management.  He started his career with Trilantic Capital Partners, a multi-billion dollar global buyouts and growth equity firm, after working in investment banking for several years.

Brad earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and undergraduate degrees in Economics and Engineering Science from Vanderbilt University.

Personal Interests

Brad is happily married with three young children and resides with his family in Dana Point, California.  He is from California's Bay Area originally and spends his free time keeping up with his kids and surfing, skiing, camping, and fly fishing...especially on Silver Creek in Idaho.

Dr. Alec Temlock

Co-Founder & Chief Dental Officer

Alec is a Board Certified Periodontist who specializes in periodontal and dental implant surgery.  His expertise encompasses conventional periodontal therapy, facial surgical reconstruction, esthetic plastic surgery, and implant placement using the latest technologies available while utilizing customized sedation options for his patients.  He is the founder and owner of San Francisco Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, a highly prominent practice in downtown San Francisco, California.  He continues to treat patients on a regular basis and also manages all aspects of his practice’s day-to-day operations.  He is also solely responsible for driving his practice’s growth from inception to ~$2,000,000 of annual collections in ~5 years.

Alec graduated Cum Laude from Boston University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.  Upon graduation, he was awarded the prestigious American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Award in recognition of his Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics.  After completing dental school, he continued his formal training as a surgical resident at the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF). After three years of specialty surgical training, he was awarded his Certificate of Residency in Periodontology and a Masters of Science (MS) degree in Oral and Craniofacial Biology.  Thereafter, he pursued Board Certification with the American Board of Periodontology, and he subsequently achieved Diplomate status which is the highest achievement recognized by any medical or dental specialty.  Currently, Alec is Board Certified in both Periodontal and Dental Implant Surgery.

 

Prior to graduate school Alec attended Vanderbilt University where he earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human and Organizational Development.

 

Personal Interests

Alec is from Chattanooga, Tennessee originally, but he currently resides with his wife and young son in San Francisco, California.  He enjoys road biking, camping, international travel, and snow boarding when he isn’t spending time with his family.
